Regional Financial Manager to SSP Nordics

What makes the role as Financial Manager at SSP exciting?

We are in a period of change building a new Nordics Region for our business. We are looking for a Regional Financial Manager who will be responsible for providing financial leadership and drive continuous improvement in the areas of accounting and Finance Management. Reporting to the Nordic CFO, and with 4 direct reporting Head of Accounts responsible for each country you'll be placed at our office, either at Arlanda Airport - Stockholm, Gardemoen Airport - Norway or Kastrup Airport - Denmark. Travel will be required.

Overall role:

The Regional Financial Manager is responsible for ensuring that all accounting processes and policies are followed, creating new processes or amending the existing in order to improve effectiveness, controls and accuracy of all accounting information.

Main responsibilities:

. Be accountable for the correct and in time reporting of the monthly accounts to the Regional management and Group Finance, as well as consolidating, preparing, reporting and signing off the monthly BS substantiation.
. Be in charge of Tax Compliance and reporting, being a key element in the relationship with the local Tax Authorities and liaising Group and local authorities in any tax issue that may occur.
. Make sure that all the local and Group Legal Policies, including Insurance related matters are followed within the timescales set.
. Be accountable, in cooperation with the country Head of Accounts, for producing the Statutory Accounts and the relationship with both Internal and External Auditors.
. Cash & treasury Management.
. Working Capital maximisation through frequent standard analysis and subsequent actions.
. Leadership and coaching - provide guidance to direct reports and other Finance team members in best practices of financial analyses, report/project deliverables, and business communications


To succeed in this role you need to be a qualified accountant with Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics. We want you to have solid experience as accountant and finance management. Advanced Microsoft expertise Excel skills required. Your understanding of Loss Prevention activities is important.

We see you as a highly organized self-starter with good planning skills and the ability to work on own initiative. Your communication skills need to be excellent and you are confident working across many levels of the organization. It is meritorious with knowledge and understanding of Hospitality Operational Functions. You must be fluent English in spoken and written and preferably any additional Nordic language.
