What makes Head of NPD/Executive Chef at SSP exciting?
We are in a period of change building a new Nordics Region for our business. We are looking for a Head of NPD/Executive Chef who will be responsible for develop the NPD strategy for the Nordic Region. Reporting to the Marketing Service Director in Norway you'll be placed at our office at Arlanda Airport, Stockholm, working across the whole Nordics.

As the Head of NPD you will work with the Executive Chefs/Head of production, to identify and deliver commercial value for the brand/categories with a consideration of gross margin, operational efficiency, food and consumer trends, competitor activity and menu re-engineering. Development will include new concepts, existing SSP brands and franchise brands.
. Deliver food development which demonstrates great creativity and presentation.
. Work from Category Management team's activity briefs -and in line with the new product development process and business priorities - to deliver relevant and commercially viable new menus and product, for evaluation by the business.
. Work with the Purchasing department/Director to support the food cost initiative and in consolidating the number of ingredients SSP uses, by suggesting and evaluating options.
. Proactively identify and deliver re-engineering opportunities on existing food.
. Develop the region`s NPD cross functional approach and processes
. Organise, support and deliver product presentations, internal and client facing.
. Work in partnership with other internal departments, in order to plan and deliver the business priorities - to include food development and other related projects.
. Build relationships with suppliers.
. Coach and develop the in country Exec Chefs
To succeed in this role you need to be a qualified chef with suitable culinary experience. You must have at least 3 years of relevant experience of menu development, costing and producing specs to target margins. We want you to be creative and innovative thinking with a good understanding of food market trends and genuine passion for food.
If you have the ability to lead projects, coordinating with other departments to ensure deadlines and quality expectations are met you will fit into this role. As a person you are a Results driven, organised self-starter with commercial acumen and keen eye for details. Fluent Swedish and English in spoken and written.
